These are a few of my favorite things...

Sitting here contemplating the things that I enjoy in my life, I can't help but think how much the simple things of life bring the most pleasure. Sure I enjoy all the nice gadgets that technology brings but spending an October Saturday outside soaking up the crisp Autumn air while getting the yard ready for an impending winter brings reflection and a sense of throttling down that I don't normally experience in my hectic day-to-day living. Spending a Saturday evening supper around the table with the people I love and having fun and good conversation is priceless. Playing a game of Take Two or reading a book under a soft light are wonderful ways to pass time. Sure, the past month of election coverage and cringing news of the economy have dampened our spirits, but reflection on the many good gifts that come from above help to lighten the burdens of life and lift the spirit!
