How many books can you simultaneously read?

young-man-reading-a-bookI am currently reading seven or eight different books. Not because I am an avid reader nor because I am a voracious reader, nor even a good reader. I just have a few books that I am interested in for one reason or another and I happen to be reading them all at the same time. Each one is quite different from the others. Perhaps that what makes it possible to read all of them concurrently. It also makes for a longer duration in finishing them.

I have to read mostly in the early morning because by nightfall, I am too tired to keep interest in reading almost anything. What about you? How many books do you normally read at a time. What tips can you share for working your way through your list of must read books?
